It’s that time of the year. The halls are decked, the stockings are hung, the Christmas jammies are out, cookies are baked, lights are strung, and spirits are high. It’s Christmas, the MOST wonderful time of the year!!
Oh, how I love this time! This Christmas, I am focussing on slowing down, being thankful and reflecting on my blessings thus far. It has been a wonderful year. For my family, this blog and myself.
I have become a better blogger as well. I did not procrastinate and actually got out Holiday recipes well in advance and I finally learnt what all the fuss about SEO is. I am not perfect, but I am getting there. Baby steps, folks. Thanks to all my lovely readers who have read, commented, cooked and reviewed whatever I put out. Thanks guys. You rock!!
When I pulled out all my Christmas decorations this year, I realized just how much I actually had. So I did almost the same tree as last year and got away with buying nothing for our Christmas home decor this time. I realized I should focus more on building traditions with the stuff we already have, even if it means that our wreath is shedding like a crazy shaggy rug. But I love it. Also, I have my in-house craft expert who makes the most amazing things for me. See? How stinking cute is that?!!
Boy is home all the time and we are having so much fun. We baked Rudolph cookies this week, complete with red candy noses and pretzel antlers. We have more dough stashed away in the freezer and will be making a few more for Santa on Christmas eve. I hope he doesn’t mind eating cookies shaped like his drivers!
I will stop babbling now and leave you with a few snippets of our Christmas home. Have a blessed festive season, y’all!!
Here’s last year’s Christmas home decor post if you’re interested in taking a peek.
Merry Christmas, dear friends!
