Let me start by asking how this winter is treating you. If you are lucky enough to live in the tropics, you may not know what I am talking about.
Even sunny Texas has not been spared this winter. Though our experiences were nothing compared to other states, I am sure.
I am not a winter person. I become moody, snappy and hungry most of the time. Good for the blog, not for the waistline.
Yesterday was much better, but it became chilly in the evening very quickly. I was sprawled on the couch under a blanket, whereas Boy (let us call him Ice Man) was wearing shorts, no socks and playing on the floor without a care in the world. I caught him with his nose pressed on the patio door glass and I ordered him to stop doing that at once.
He looked at me calmly and said, “But it’s so pretty, Mommy. Let me just watch for some time.” His exact words.
I took a peek outside and saw the most gorgeous twilight! It took a 4-yo to teach me to appreciate the little things.
These are a few of my favorite pictures from that day.
And of course, the love of my life, my little sunshine!

Your kiddo was right! Beautiful! I have noticed some of our sunsets being ultra pretty these days. I have just mostly seen them from work, which has a great view for watching a sunset, since we are on the 16th floor! Happy Valentines Day!

Thank you, Namrata. If it weren’t for my son, I would have remained on the couch, oblivious to such beauty outside!
