I debated long and hard whether to post this. You will see shortly why so. You see, I had this brainwave to create no sew stuffed fabric bunnies. Just like the fabric pumpkins that pop up around blog-land in the fall. I had made some too.
Back to the bunnies. I had it all envisioned in my mind. It was supposed to be easy. (Can you spot a recurring theme in all my posts?!!!) I hunted around for some scrap fabric, and found this Cars themed fabric leftover from a pillow I made for Boy.
I placed a small amount of pillow stuffing in the center of the fabric and gathered the ends together. I made sure to leave two of the ends long enough to resemble bunny ears.
I tied a contrasting scrap of fabric, fluffed the ears somewhat and tied a ribbon around its neck.
I made two more bunnies using another fabric.
Then I realized these were not the instant success I meant it to be. Maybe the fabric was not long enough or maybe I need to follow a pattern like this one. But that would involve sewing. Or maybe I needed to invest in some pastel spring themed fabric.
I showed these to Boy, who didn’t seem to mind. He agreed they were indeed bunnies with floppy ears. That kind of salvaged my pride!
Hoppity-hop-hop!
So, what do you think of these ‘bunnies’? Do they look like bunnies or just really small pillows? Bunnies or not, kids will love them for sure!
